Bought it hoping that it would astound me as a comprehensive yew book long overdue & although a worthy attempt I found it slightly disappointing
The production values of the book are very good. Clean, comprehensive layout works well. The preamble about yew a bit on the thin side, but the descriptions of the individual trees featured pretty good and details of how to find them very useful. Quality of images very variable - some splendid shots but a few too many very dark and shadowy ones. Bright sunny days are seldom good for photographing beneath yew trees. Would like to have seen a bit more historical imagery as well as yew trees in different topographical situations. Also a shame that Scotland is only represented by one tree.

Bloomin' marvellous
A fabulous tome covering all aspects of our premier native tree with utterly delicious photography and fascinating archive material...... but then I am the author!

Good product - nice helpful people
Seems like a very good after market product. Car driving well, but time and the winter will tell I guess.
