Chef Jacques
A must read for any fan or follower of Jacques Pepin's cooking programs. He tells the straightforward account of his life from French childhood, apprenticeship in many French restaurants, service in the French Navy as a chef for top brass and the heads of government. Then on to America, where he evolved into the celebrity chef who is widely recognized and respected. Pepin's journal makes the reader a personal friend; his recipes and vivid culinary narrative encourage creativity in one's own cooking. Thoroughly enjoyable!
