Linksys WRT54GL 54 Mbps Wireless-G WiFi Router

One of the all-time classic WiFi routers, perfect for what it does.

This router is a real classic, no wonder they have been making this same basic model for years. It's probably the best router out there for what I wanted to do, replacing the stock firmware with the free open source dd-wrt Linux-based firmware, which can turn an ordinary router into a beast! I was happy to discover that whoever had had this router before me had actually already installed dd-wrt on it.
