Snapped at 40,000 miles wrecked the motor

I purchased this 17 months ago had it installed professionally. Went on a road trip l live in MN the belt broke in CA and bent all the valves. 5000.00+ to fix and 1500.00 to ship pit home when fixed. Truck was only worth 6500.00 and the vehicle only had 138000 miles on it total. The belt had less than 40,000 miles on it.
