Alice's Restaurant 50th Anniversary Concert DVD
Having seen this show in person and being a huge fan of Arlo Guthrie's, I have to say this is a great DVD performance, exactly the same as the show in person. It brings you right back like you are in the audience, watching and listening to one of the very best musicians who is also a fabulous story teller. You can't beat this if you like Arlo or any of the great Folk Singers. He does some of his father's work as well. His father was the great Woody Guthrie and at the end of the show I attended, we all stood and sang "This Land Is Your Land" right along with Arlo and his band. His son, Abe, plays the keyboards, too, so we get to see more than one famous Guthrie in this video. This is a must have for Thanksgiving as that's what it's originally about. The beginning of the video has the same claymation video playing behind the band as the live performance I attended and that, alone, is hilarious. That is accompanied by a newer, updated version of The Motorcycle Song aka The Pickle Song and is hilarious. This was fantastic for me and we will be watching it every Thanksgiving and many days in between them. Thank you Arlo, for putting this out for all the fans and new fans, too. Arlo is the best! This DVD is the next best thing out there.

Jobst Compression Thigh High Hose
Jobst makes the best compression hose, hands down. You can never go wrong with this brand. The type with the silicone dots or the elastic with lace tops are the best, in my opinion, because one doesn't have to use glue, tape or garters to hold them up. They stay in place and do not slide down or off the leg. And that's important, both for comfort and for keeping compression where it's supposed to be.
