Requires hacking to make it work properly.
I knew that it required work to make it somewhat useable as my home tv fm transmitter.
I split the case apart, cosmetically damaging the casing, and converted the power plug to a USB plug and added an external wire to the unit.
Now, I have a range of about 50ft, although the quality is only crystal clear when it transmits mono.
Unmodified, I would rate it as junk.

Still going strong after 10 years?
1 of 1 found this helpful I can't even remember how long ago that I bought the 1gb unit after an upgrade from the 512mb unit.
This unit has been in use almost every day for the past 8 years? The only thing that has broken was the belt clip, but that was understandable after many many nights of sleeping with it attached to my belt.
The only issues was a loose power connection in the USB plug which would power off the unit if it was pressed or leaned on and the fix for that was to reflow the USB connector with a nice and hot solder tip and solder.

Generates a lot of heat.
Keep it in a well ventilated area and ensure that there is enough cooling above and below the unit.
