A nice lens on the cheap!
1 of 1 found this helpful To be honest, I recently bought a new camera with an adapter to accept Canon lenses, and when I ordered this lens I had no idea what I wanted or needed in a lens. I actually bought a few different lenses, and this lens seems to be excellent.
The fixed focal length gives you a little bit more flexibility with aperture, but you will want to make sure that this focal length is something you want. That said, the lens is likely <$30 so the risk is fairly low.
Overall, this lens, like most of the old school Canon lenses, works great as long as you don't mind messing with the manual focus and aperture. It's not super likely that I'll use this lens on a regular basis due to the specific focal length, but I have it in case I need it.
