Good product for travellers with young kids

Great product in theory
The head unit has all the features that it promises. Apart from being a bit Laggy (expected) it has a number of issues.
1. The first time I put my car in reverse, the camera failed. Subsequently the unit just shuts down once out of every 30-40 times I put the car in reverse.
2. Sometimes while driving along, even if I'm not touching the unit, the unit may just restart. It didn't do this for the first month or so but it is becoming more frequent as time goes on.
3. The compatible dash cam does not auto record. It only starts recording for a few minutes when you instruct it to.
The above points makes me wonder whether I can reley on it long term. I think it would have been a much better product if they used a superior chipset and other componentry. I understand they built this within a budget.
Couple of points to note:
1. I did get it installed from a professional car audio/multimedia installer.
2. Despite all the above problems, I still enjoy using it (when it works) and I really like the flexibility of being able to download apps.
