Sturdy valve for our boat seawater intake.

Well worth the extra cost for waste and water applications
Used to replace previous boatyard’s 1-1/2” Shields 250 between cockpit scupper and thru hull. The bends were w/in spec but put great strain on the hose and nylon thru hull nipple. Plumber’s putty had been needed; the Shields eventually split at outside of bend and began weeping seawater.
The Saniflex installation was easy: easier to cut; far more flexible than exhaust/water hose; sealed the first time w/two ABA clamps at each end and w/no putty/caulk needed. Will definitely use when replacing our much-less - PVC wastewater hose; cost is a lot more, but worth it.
Obviously the Saniflex is not suitable for engine hoses.

Well built & quiet
Solid pump for marine HVAC. Identical to original except for mounting base.
Could have swapped bases w/no problem (held by 2 screws) but old base had cracked. Took about 30 minutes to fabricate new base with Starboard.
Turned out 15-year old pump was just fine: ouch! Now have good spare.
