A "must have" for firefighting enthusiasts.
Before real-life TV, the "Emergency!" series brought out the role of EMS/EMT in a successful multi-season TV show. Firefighters and rescuers John Gage and Roy DeSoto come to the aid of the citizens of Los Angeles.

PowerShot A590is - great camera for a good price
18 of 18 found this helpful This camera boasts a larger screen than its PowerShot predecessors, has a LOT of features, including modes available on digital SLR cameras. The 8.0mp resolution offers excellent clarity and the image stabilizer works to keep the finer details in focus.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned photographer, this camera has something for you. It can fit into a pocket for easy portability, runs on two AA batteries (I recommend rechargeable batteries) and uses an SD memory card, readily available at many retailers. I use an 8GB card (some digital cameras cannot read cards this large) so I can take lots of photos and not have to use multiple memory cards. The ability to attach other lenses and/or filters adds a dimension to this camera that many point-and-shoot digital cameras lack makes it unique as well.
It's a LOT of camera for the price; it would make a great gift for someone looking for or needing a new camera. Simple enough for a budding young photographer to learn to use and grow with and yet versatile enough for a seasoned photographer to enjoy with its compact size and portability for times when carrying a lot of equipment is difficult or impossible.
If you're looking for a point-and-shoot digital camera that offers "something for everyone" at a reasonable price, the A590is is the camera for you.
I bought this camera so I can carry it with me wherever I go, especially on occasions when using my digital SLR camer (also a Canon) isn't practical or feasible. I LOVE its ease of use and MANY features, including red-eye correction (along with red-eye reduction) and being able to adjust the range of the flash so close shots aren't too overexposed and distant shots aren't too underexposed.
I can't say enough GREAT things about this WONDERFUL camera!

Charming 80s movie!
A superb pairing of Robyn Lively and Zelda Rubinstein! Very cute "coming of age" or "ugly duckling to swan" movie that EVERYONE will love. One of my all-time 80s faves.
