Delta B3596LF Chrome Windemere Widespread Bathroom Faucet - Free Drain Assembly

Delta Faucet

We remodeled all of our counter tops and faucets. The Delta Windemere was chosen for our Master Bath. Installation was OK until mounting the faucet handles. You are supposed to adjust the trim pieces between the counter top and the handle for the friction you prefer and a snug fit. When inserted into the hole and tightened up, then it is too tight and won't turn. Several adjustments of on and off, which requires another person, and I finally got both of them OK. After a few weeks of use, now one is too loose and I need to get under the sink and re-adjust again. I wanted to remove the aerator and flush the system. I could not get the aerator off. After several attempts, I ended up bending the aerator and now it leaks back through the faucet and under the sink. I called Delta and they sent me a new faucet but my sink was out of service for another week. I asked if they had a wrench that could be used on the aerator and they said no. I researched and one could be bought at Home Depot for $13. When the new faucet came I tried to remove the aerator before installation. After several attempts, I was able to loosen it. When installed, the aerator leaks back through the faucet and under the sink. To stop the leak it has to be tightened so much it cannot be removed for cleaning later. Not Delta quality that I have been accustom to over the years. Wish I had chosen Moen.
