It's a good one!
5 of 5 found this helpful The N6006 is a nice in between camera. I own 3 N2020, 1 N6006, 2 N8008, 1 N8008s. I used to have 3 N6006's, but recently my wife convinced me I need to reduce the number of Cameras I own. I also have a Pentex SLR, and Yashica SLR manual focus camera from late 60's-70's. I sold 2 of the N6006's recently to begin reducing the inventory somewhat. I enjoy the N6006's because of the built in flash. Both regular and rear curtain modes. That part is really versatile. Also, it is a fun and nice camera to operate even if you are not using flash. I like the other Nikon cameras for specific purposes, but if I don't know what I will encounter, I always take a N6006 along for the ability to easily use the flash if I need it. I use my N8008's for wedding photography, with the N6006 as a backup. It shoots excellent quality pictures, and has been a dependable camera to have. My 15 year old daughter, if not using her digital snapshot camera, prefers the N6006 to my other cameras.

Excellent Camera
8 of 12 found this helpful My wife spotted the N2020 at A garage sale with 35-70 mm lens several (probably at least 12) years ago. My 35mm SLR camera was in the shop being repaired and she asked if the "Nikon" with lens might be worth $200. We went back to the garage sale. Nice condition camera with the stated lens with a Nikon SB 23 flash.<P> Kid selling it didn't really have a clue what he had. I paid stated dollars and took it home. When I discovered what the camera was capable of, I fell in love with it. I had never owned an autofocus SLR camera prior to this one, and have not been disappointed. It was nice that I could still use it on manual focus, as well as autofocus. When I put the flash on it, and took a picture in what was pitch black, I was very leary of the flash focusing the Camera (TTL). Picture was very clear, sharply focused, nice. This camera can do so much more than I have ever used it for! <P> It's main drawback at this time is that Nikon, and others, have made some awfully nice cameras since this one was made. I own 1 more N2020, 1 N6006, 2 N8008, and 1 N8008s. And I recently sold 2 N6006's that I had. Nikon does a really nice job of building cameras. For the price you will pay currently for a nice N2020, you will not be disappointed!

I Love It!
3 of 3 found this helpful I now own 2 of the N8008's and an N8008s. Very quick shutter, and the feel of the camera may be a bit heavy, but quality all the way. It doesn't have flash built in, but why would someone expect that in this quality of Camera? With the data back on one, and the recommended SB24 flash for all of them, these cameras will do anything you can imagine, except take digital photos. I own several other SLR cameras, but these are the ones I use!
