Wish it would do more than 110 volts
1 of 1 found this helpful I have had my inverter in service for about a month now in my Fleetwood Class A motorhome. I wired it so it had a seperate plug where I could simply plug the shore power cord (30A) in from the coach. This allowed the inverter to go through the transfer switch in the coach thereby eliminating any possible problem with the generator. The only issue then was the converter would energize when the inverter came on line. The converter would try to charge the batteries that the inverter was drawing from. That problem was solved with a wireless switch from Wallmart ($20) Plug the converter into the wireless switch and then when shore power or the generator is disconnected the converter won't re-energize until the remote switch is activated via the remote control that I keep by the remote control for the inverter. That has worked extremely well and was a simple solution.
The inverter is installed in the basement compartment of the coach and that location works fine as there is enough area for air to flow around the inverter to dissipate heat. I am using the optional remote control which works very well and allows you to monitor numerous operating parameters.
The only down side to this inverter in my view is that it operates at 110 volts. I do understand that doing that saves battery power but I would love to see it switchable from 110 to 115 to 120 volts. That would give you maximum flexibility as some loads like that extra 10 volts.
Over all a great product and a recommended buy if 110 volts works for you.

Love this product!
My wife and I do a lot of traveling via multiple modes of transportation. Airplane, RV, pickup and cars. We tend to travel long distances and like to have the flexibility of taking food that needs to be refrigerated or frozen. In the past we just used the YETI. It worked well although it is pretty heavy, especially when you load the ice. Then you have to worry about adding ice (especially in the summer when the car sits in the sun) and keeping things sealed in ziploc bags so the water from the melted ice doesn't get in. After reading reviews of this product I decided to give it a try.
Can't speak to the longevity of the product yet but I can say it is a high quality build with some really useful features. You tend to get what you pay for and you are paying for a really nice product here. It cools very quickly down to temperature which is great for a short notice adventure. The phone app is nice as it allows control of the fridge without having to physically access it. For example if the Dometic is in the back of the truck (under the topper) I can check on temps or change them without ever getting out of the truck. Very handy!
I recommend getting the cover as well. It is also high quality and should protect the fridge for a long time while keeping the efficiency high and power consumption low.
It looks like the YETI will now be retired as we move on to a far superior product that offers lots of advantages! Recommended product.
