Great beginner's guitar
1 of 1 found this helpful I researched guitars when I was looking for one for my 9-y-o grandson. This Hohner came highly reviewed and I ran across the one I bought on ebay.
Turned out to be a great buy, both pricewise and in quality. It's 3/4 size, perfect for a child. True, there are much, much better guitars out there that cost way more bucks but the investment to see whether guitar is something a child wants to learn should be as inexpensive as possible. Hey, they might decide pickin' is not for them.
That said, through the years I've realized that the really cheap "student" guitars available just about everywhere (think Walmart and Toys R Us)are far better at discouraging student guitarists than inspiring them.
If you know a youngster who is interested in starting on guitar, this is a good one.

Replacement battery
Although it is a chore to replace, the battery works fine and seems to be of high quality.
