OK camera. Easy to navigate. Dark photos. Not the clearest photos.
With diving case it will go where most divers go for recreational dives. 180 feet is very good depth. Camera itself isn't the best camera out of water. Takes dark photos or with flash close photos are washed out. Takes pictures a bit blurry every time. I have not gotten a single good sharp picture yet. Only used a few times out of water and have not used it yet in the case for underwater shots. $50 with the underwater case is a good price. You get what you pay for. Camera operations are good. Easy to navigate around the menus.

Nikon D5000 is the camera to buy
3 of 3 found this helpful I purchased the Nikon D5000 a couple weeks ago and have tried it out in several different manners. So far I can not find anything bad to say about it. It's easy to use in both the point and shoot and manual modes. Lots of features including on camera editing. Pictures are great quality and even the video is very nice for a camera. The lowest video setting is grainy but the middle and HD 720P setting give nice video. A very Versatile camera for both the amateur and professional photographer. I suggest having an 18-55mm lens and a 55-200mm lens at least. The smaller lens alone is good but the camera is so fun and easy you will like having a zoom lens as well. Having the optional remote control makes self pics a breeze. Much nicer than the self timer alone. This camera has all the features the more expensive ones do for a very good price. I suggest finding a good sale price and buy this camera.
