False Advertising

How do I rate a battery?
It is a battery. it is small and round and shiny. It is marked with the model number I need. I bought as a spare. it is a recognised brand name so I trust the quality will be fine. How can I possibly rate a battery until after it has fulfilled its purpose.?

So far, sogood!
Its a glass cartridge fuse. It physically fit in the space of the old one as expected. It did not "blow" when the equipment was turned on - so far, so good! But will it "blow" if overloaded to the rated value and protect the equipment from damage - who knows?!! I hope so, but only time - or comprehensive laboratory testing to the point of failure - will tell. So ultimate judgement is reserved until the fateful day and in the meantime we trust that the manufacturer has properly made these devices.
