Economical and very good

If you read many reviews of this and similar products you will not find too many compliments but I believe that most of the reviewers compare this to devices costing far more. Naturally it will not compare favourably to devices costing 3 or more times more than this. For a fluid head costing less than $30.00 it is very good. The panning and tilt are smooth and the extra quick release plate is very useful to me as I switch between a spoting scope and my telephoto lens. It would be nice to have a built in level but I can mange without one. Unless you are a professional or a serious amateur this head is fine.

Provide a PC setup programme and document it properly so that the application does what the documentation says it does.

Samsung have chosen to provide setup of this equipment only through a smart phone app. This is not very convenient to someone who does not own a smart phone. I would like to see a PC application made available to perform setup and ongoing configuration changes. Also, the phone app (when I borrowed a phone) did not perform the way the documentation said it should. Consequently I was unable to connect the hub to my MNSI modem and had to insert a hub between the modem and the Samsung device configured as the hub. Difficulties aside, the mesh is performing very well and I am getting throughput of up to 15mBs on a speedtest. Also my smart TV's are loading quickly and do not have to reload during viewing.
