Appreciating the work of one fo the heroes of the American Revolution
This is an excellent history of one of the most important leaders of the Colonial Army. The descriptions of the events that bring about the American victory against the greatest military power of the 18th Century, Great Britain, and the tremendous difficulties Greene overcame to complete his tasks, were enlightening.
It is a fine piece of historical writing.

1 of 1 found this helpful The book is a non-fiction piece about the various internal struggles to control the Equitable Life Insurance Company at the height of the "Gilded Age" - 1890's to 1910. The story centers on the handsome and rakish James H. Hyde, son of the Founder of Equitable, Henry B. Hyde and how, after his father's death, he went from heir apparent to disgraced outsider.
The book tells a interesting story particularly about those "wealthy entitled" and the enchanted life they lived until the bubbled burst. I thought some of the inter-office politics took up too much of the story but overall it was an interesting read.
