Different Direction
A very different angle for the killers to take after their debut Hot Fuss. Opting for a more American sound, the band are no less brilliant. Great guitar and nice lyrics blend to give a very good album. Not all the tracks are perfect, but it would be very hard to have 12/13 brilliant tracks.
The lyrics of Sams Town appear to be from the view of an american teenager, either in a huge city like vegas/LA or in a small town. The seem to make sense to start with but gradually get hazier as you think of more meanings.
Over all - good album
