smooth lens and great features

If you're used to a smaller/non-bulky lens, it can be a little intimidating to get used to using but once you do, you will not be disappointed. It's easy to switch out with other lenses. The focus is sharp and the zoom is great. It's smooth in adjusting and gives a lot of options on what kind of image you're going for. The only downside for me so far, is with the autofocus (if not using manual), it can take what feels like forever before it actually focuses. It focuses for a split second and then slowly.......... adjusts and refocuses once again. I feel like it takes a minute but id said in the range of up to 30 sec depending on the lighting and whatnot. I'm not an aficionado in photography, still learning, so pardon if this doesn't help a lot of people, but just from an extreme novice's point of view, I do love this lens and the variety of options it gives me for taking photos at the price I got it for. I think it is well, well worth the sacrifice. You shouldn't regret it.
