I had 67 minutes of lightheartedness going back to the day of simpler times
Having been an avid fan Bobby Vinton for 50 years, I had made many attempts to see this movie going back to 1965. Over the years the movie was impossible to find. This year I was fortunate that eBay had several 'Surf Party' movies on dvd. I would not be disappointed with the outcome.
The movie takes one back to those years when so many things were simpler and movies were fun to watch and everyone in the family could watch the show. Vinton puts on a surprisingly strong character role and is impressive with his acting. Patricia Morrow and Jackie DeShannon keep their characters happy-go-lucky all the way through and remind us that life can be simple and fun; something we have seemingly forgotten in 2015 with the complexities we face today.
Surely "Surf Party" will not go down as a cinematic giant but, I had 67 minutes of lightheartedness going back to the days of a simpler time. Thanks Bobby Vinton...nice job!

Palmer sets record by winning his fourth Masters; awarded his Green Jacket from Nicklaus.
This 8x10 photo commemorates Arnold Palmer's Masters victory in 1964. Palmer was the first golfer to win the Green Jacket four times in his career. His first victory was in 1958, and followed up his victories in 1960, 1962, and 1964. He was the first golfer in history to reach that pinnacle of greatness.
