AMD FX-55
This was one of the best single core CPU's you could get when they were released and was a superb chip for a gaming PC.
AMD at the time were producing better CPU's than Intel's Pentium 4 Range, the Athlon 64's were the real gamer's choice at the time and the FX series were top of the range.
They were also very expensive when they were released but now can be obtained relatively cheaply these days and although they have been superseded by more modern Dual, Quad, Hex and even Octo Core CPU's they are still useful if you have an old Socket 939 Motherboard kicking around.
The only thing that could really beat them these days are Dual-Core Socket 939 Opteron's. Which again are fairly cheap.
You could build a half decent Linux box with an SATA HDD and a HD/4770 or HD4850 with one of these chips and it would still be a decent computer.
They are still excellent chips from a time when AMD were on top of their game.

6809 CPU Upgrade
What’s not to like about Hitachi’s enhanced 6809. Runs cooler, has more instructions and has a native 2mhz mode.
Well worth it if you have a Dragon or Co-Co.

Arctic Freezer Pro 2
Supposedly fits AMD 939 but only fits on the motherboard blowing the air up rather than out the rear of the case.
Also when it came to clamping it down onto the CPU it actually lifted itself off the processor when you screwed the brackets down.
Really disappointed - if you're using AMD look elsewhere.
