Nice made item

Positive! Reasonably well made main item which works well but clearly designed for a non Australian application. It came with a plug adaptor which fits the Australia sockets comma but the quality of this adaptor is lower than the device itself. Demagnetiser works beautifully, and has a solid, weighty feel to it. Generally pleased.

Cost Effective Entertainment / Navigation upgrade

Cost effective, plug-and-play upgrade from the original VW CD head unit. Had the old unit out and the new one in in under an hour - a few basic tools needed. I'm no expert, either - some fiddling with fascia plastics, but not a technically challenging operation. No extra cabling needed. Adds a surprisingly useful amount of extra functionality - voice activation, hands free telephony, a useful GPS function and the ability to access Spotify from the car - to the vehicle, looks superior to the old unit - and all for the region of $500. Hard to see how you could get more bang for the buck with another upgrade. Recommended.
