Leonard Cohen - I'm Your Man
1 of 1 found this helpful The poet within me readily approves of Cohen's earlier songs as being used as part of my relaxation process. They defined a noticable quality of both voice & lyrics that somehow became a little lost during the passage of passing time. However, even though I prefer his older albume', I have yet to hear a more recently recorded album that I dont like! Viva the poet in all of us!

Maturing as in wine?
1 of 1 found this helpful I was 'converted' to Cohen's deep, rich, poetic, almost hypnotic voice & classical guitar in the early 70s so my preference is for his earlier albums. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the mellow simplicity to a few of the tracks on 'The future' (1992)
Someone once made an honest comment to me about Cohen's voice - 'you either love it or you hate it!, but I have always loved it, drool & all.
