Great looking, but over-complicated installation.
This rifle sling is an authentic representation, complete with the Kanji markings, of a genuine Japanese army-issued sling for the Type 38 rifle or carbine. Once you figure out how this item is installed, it looks great. Absent any instructions, it took me an hour to figure out how to set it up. It really is over-complicated compared to a US web sling. Once you get it on, it looks great. You need to remember that the Japanese never intended it to be used as a shooting aid- just a means to carry it, so don't be disappointed if you can't make a hasty sling as a brace. My opinion is it really does look great on the rifle.

Great value ,looks good.
I like it, it completes the carbine and it looks good. The only thing I can't figure out is what attaches to the threaded end of the rod so it can actually be used. There must be something . What are the threads for, if not a handle.
