Not good value

Purchased this product as I thought it would do small household shredding and it was low cost. After receiving item commenced to use it and after a couple of minutes it stopped working, even though the instructions said no more than 2 minutes. I left it cool down for a couple of hours and then commenced to use it again. It stopped again after a couple of minutes, let it cool down and then it would not work in a forward motion but only in reverse. Cut the cable and threw it in the bin. I wasn't going to go through the hassle of sending it back and waiting for another one as it was only worth $50. Purchased a better quality one at local store for a few more dollars whic does an excellent job.
