Good for croquet or golf, well made and well designed.
Very fine set of wickets (hoops, gates) for croquet in the house as well as for golf.
One needs to use smaller balls than regular size croquet balls but will still help in practice for the real thing.
Sturdy, well designed.
Great product!

A well written, instructive & nicely designed book on croquet
Having bought and read several hundred books on croquet, my knowledge of what is currently available and what has been published over the last hundred-and-fifty years is considerable. This volume gives a bit of history but focusses on how the game is currently played beyond the backyard. However, the game's principles and strategies are clearly detailed in pleasantly presented diagrams and photos of some of the world's best players executing both basic and advanced shots, making the book valuable to both backyard and formal players. Most books on croquet miss the mark; this book hits it. It is exceptionally good: straightforward, authoritative and handsomely designed. A terrific gift for a croquet enthusiast.

Looking for an in-drawer chest to store your silver or stainless steel? This is it!
The Reed & Barton Zippered Flatware chest is top quality. The best.
I inherited a set of handmade sterling flatware twenty years ago and it was given to me in one of these Reed & Barton chests. My parents had purchased it twenty years before that. This type of chest allows you to put your silver in a drawer and not have it sitting in a bulky wooden chest on a counter top or table somewhere but still have ultra-easy access (just open the drawer and zip back the top for taking out or returning silver to the chest).
I'm very demanding when it comes to wanting durable, sensible, good-looking materials and workable design.
I'm using my new Reed & Barton zippered chest for a double set of Lunning Moselle stainless steel flatware (from the 1950's) - remarkable stuff that is now as pricey as sterling silver (and with good reason - great durability, great design and harder and harder to find).
The chest is constructed of very well joined wood, covered in heavy, handsome dark brown canvas and with all seams, stitching and fixing of the material to the wood beautifully executed. Inside, the the soft fabric lining has been perfectly applied and the spots for various utensils (spoons, forks, and knives of different sizes as well as serving flatware) are carefully thought out and eminently sensible. Everything about this chest works superbly.
So I just took 15 minutes from my day to explain this product... because I'm so pleased by it.
I will be getting another one soon, no doubt, for a set of my grandparents' sterling from the 1920's.
Time marches on, but not without proper care and presentation provided by Reed & Barton.
Thanks R & B, I never imagined myself writing such a tribute - I have no connection to the company except as a very satisfied customer.
