Brittle plastic and bad switch; defect with this particular case, not all lifeproof cases of this design
1 of 1 found this helpful This case broke on the first or second day that I used it. The little cover that snaps in and out of place to cover the charging port when not in use broke. I did not even notice when it broke, but the plastic was cracked and it fell right off. I'm not sure if the plastic was brittle because the product was old and may have been stored under conditions that caused it to degrade? It may not be the vendor's fault, but I did not have this problem with my previous case. The little door on the bottom seemed to not fit snugly in the first place. It made me wonder if this was in a batch that had a defect? The switch that mutes and unmutes the phone also does not really work, even when I put effort into aligning it correctly. Other versions of this case are good, but the one I bought was off.
