It appears to be part of the phone and the design does not interfere with the charging cord or volume buttons
This is a great thought through product. I am very please with its design and function. It is slim enough to not add bulk to the phone but strong enough to add the protection I want. I find it a superior product in every way..

Outstanding!
1 of 1 found this helpful I installed this product on my Envoy. It fit perfectly. No surprises. I imagine this is the same product that was made for GM. If bought whole sale from GM the price is $197.00 for just one side. I paid $54.00 for both left and right and it was an easy install. It took me 45 minutes a side. My mechanic wanted $1,200.00 parts and labor. The entire job cost me $108.00 for what I suspect is the same part I would have purchased from GMC. I suspect time will tell but as it appears this was an extremely good deal.
