As a teenager, the latest gizmos and gadgets are a must-have. Sometimes our budgets don't quite stretch as far as being able to afford an iPhone or a Blackberry, but the iPod Touch 4th Generation has a microphone, camera and is open to many Apps that have the same functions of a phone, for free! Apps are the general reason as to why I wanted an iPod, I also needed something with a substantial amount of memory in it to be able to handle my rather extensive music library which has grown over the years. Many teenagers find themselves in the same predicament, so 32gb was a lovely amount of memory. Not only does it hold my music without a pesky "music player full" message, but it also holds a couple of music videos that I've given a new home to on my iPod. The quality of the videos on the hand-held screen is breathtaking. Using iTunes on my computer was a bit tough to get the hang of at first, but after a few minutes, I managed to get my head round it and begin installing multiple Apps. Much to my surprise, many of the ones I was interested in were free. Skype, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, everything needed for an online social life is at the tap of an icon. If you're more of a gamer, there are "Lite" versions of games to try them out before buying the full version for just pennies - I recommend Angry Birds, like someone did with me, for instant-addiction or Cut The Rope, a rather adorable App that involves a puzzlers' mind - There are loads to choose from, you just have to find them. There's also Apps intended for the likes of revision, monitoring travel (I find the Tube Map App rather useful as a Londoner), keeping up with the news or even Apps for the creative users, with a mini version of Photoshop, which, you've guessed it, is free. Overall, I'd say it's worth the money, as the possibilities are endless. Quite literally, the world is in your hands. But that's cheesy, isn't it?
