Honestly not sure
I tried it on my shoulder length hair and I ended up with a bunch of twists that looked like dreads. I probably let it twist too much.lol I need practice for sure. I will try it on my daughter's long hair and see how it comes out. It's a neat idea. Easy to use. Not too heavy, which is good if you have issues in the neck or arms that make it difficult to use items like this.
