Reception very good I/R remote not good.
Great reception. I/R Remote has very short range (100mm) - it works better when facing the underside of the control unit. I suspect the I/R receiver is facing the wrong way. Package was badly damaged on arrival but the contents were fine. I'd suggest using another courier.
