The War of Art Battles Procrastination
The War of Art contains many ideas on why artists find it so hard to move to completion and what to do about it. The author (Pressfield) cites many examples of why we don't do the work, and not quite as many examples of solutions. There is plenty of empty space at the bottom of most pages making the book longer than it needs to be. Perhaps Pressfield knows that in order to hold the attention of those who have a propensity to avoid starting a task, he or she must first divide the goal into smaller, doable chores. I did notice a feeling of accomplishment as I turned each page faster than if each page were full to the brim. Sneaky, ok I get it.

Old fashioned quality
The 10 year old boy that received this book was delighted with the pictures and written content of this book. He turned the pages like it was a fragile 15th century bible. He is very pleased and so am I.
