Eur gonna like it
Musically, I'm sort of stuck in the British invasion of the 1960s. But I'm not completely deaf, and over the years heard many ear-catching tunes from the Eurythmics, found myself singing along with Annie to the piped in music at the supermarket. This album gives me the chance to have the songs I already knew and liked at my command, as well as introducing me to others previously unheard, without investing in the band's complete oevre. Bouncing, energizing, a good listen.

You should know the Moomins
Finnish author Tove Jansson's delightful books about the Moomintrolls & their other forest friends are beloved in Finland & Japan but seem to be little known in the U.S. The two-year-old who was the recipient of this book loved the read aloud game of finding the defiantly naughty Little My.
