It's great for how I use it.
I use this book with kids who struggle as supplementary to build skills. I never use only one series of books. I mix and match as the child moves along to help that child progress in a satisfying way, and also for those who do not read as well when in some books the reading becomes more involved and difficult. Students who are really naturally gifted breeze through these books.

Don’t bother !
Entire book is about the southern culture I grew up in, the daughter comes home from living in NYC and sees it hasn’t changed , her family tries to drag her back in. The last chapter brings Atticus , rarely mentioned all along ) to the fore and tramples what we knew of him in the past . I believe either this book was not written by the author or was changed deliberately by others to sully a main character who served as a means to show us some decency in the world at that time . I think it smells a rat . Waste of paper , ink, money …
And not really a credible novel .

It’s right for this particular student.
I purchase books that go along with their learning styles . This is one of them, rarely passed level 2 . I kid and match.
