It was worth it
The control arrived a day early, nicely packaged in its original box which had been crushed to the point of causing the blade terminals of the controller inside to be bent over, which was actually evident in the photo, but you'd have to really study it, and know what you're looking for. But it was unused and did work and fixed the problem with my ice machine. This repair would have cost me probably $400 to $600 to have a service company do it (if they actually knew how to diagnosis it).
As for the quality, the jury is out. The original lasted five years; this one was a slightly newer design, so all I can is hope for is that the change was for the better, not to reduce costs.

My Llittle Giant takes care of the condensation in my beer cooler big time.
This pump fits perfectly in the undercarriage of my repurposed True beverage cooler that lives I'm my garage in coastal Georgia. Because of the humidity here the cooler producers far more condensate than it can evaporate on its own, so I bought the condensate pump to keep that water from running across the floor. I ran the discharge hose through the garage wall, and now it waters my herb garden! Works like a charm and it's made in the USA!

Wonderful
Having this seemingly insignificant part so readily available through eBay made it possible to rehab my Coleman cooler. I also got new hinges for it through eBay. So I expect to get another ten years out of it. Sorry, Coleman, I won't be another as soon as you hoped 😝
