Great little 2-watt gaming console
1 of 1 found this helpful $30-ish dollars for a PS Vita that plugs into your TV. Tiny, uses hardly any energy, pairs with a DS3 or DS4, Vita memory and game cart slot, and access to a pretty decent library of Vita, PSP, and PSone games on the PS Store. Also if you have a decent connection the PS Now game stream service is pretty awesome for playing PS3 games.
Now onto the bad, which you probably have already heard from other people:
The Netflix app still doesn't work.
You'll probably need a Vita memory card.
You'll need to get a PS3 or PS4 controller if you don't already have one.
You'll get some input lag if you want to use the PS Now streaming service to play PS3 games. You can limit this by connecting the PSTV directly to the internet using an ethernet cable, and switching the TV you're using to make sure it's on some kind of "Game" mode, as the TV itself adds to the input lag as well.
Other than that, for 30 dollars you get a pretty awesome deal here. If you move around a lot, this is capable of transporting a library of great games around in a very mobile and energy efficient package. I've been playing a whole bunch of PSone games on this thing and loving it, also been playing Rayman Origins and Killzone Mercs.
