The most underrated mob film ever
I love this film. It captures the true essence of the roaring twenties, and Roger Corman directs it well. It has it all-realsim-about 95% facts, but it's still good, and a great story with an astounding cast. Jason Robards may not be most people's choice for Al Capone, but he played him very well. Paul Frees deadpan narration adds to the story tone, and the realism. It's a well told, fast paced, thrilling film and the story really entertains you. These films are hard to come by today, but this film is just as good as The Godfather Trilogy, and Goodfellas, and Bonnie and Clyde, etc. The only problem is that it's underrated. It was the greatest film of 1967, tied with Bonnie and Clyde, in my opinion. Jason Robards, George Segal-as Peter Gusenberg, Ralph Meeker-as Bugs Moran, and more bring the infamous St. Valentine's Day Massacre exploding to th screen. The film has A+ acting, A+ story, and A+ directing. Corman really knew what he was doing. My favorite scenes are the massacre scene, the Capone board room scene, the Bugs Moran meeting scene, and some others. This is a lost mob classic from a time when you didn't negotiate with your rival-you killed them. Look for Jack Nicholson in a bit part. I give this film a 10 out of 10. Excellent!

The Best Mob Movie of The 90's.....Maybe The Best Ever!
One of the most captivating, realistic, and well plotted mob flicks ever-Goodfellas is a glorious, all out, masterpiece complete and blazing with great scenes-thanks largely to it's fantastic cast-Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco and more. Pesci won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar, Bracco was nominated for Best Supporting Actress. This mvoie is so good...I can't describe it in words. Based on the real life of Henry Hill. Also stars Paul Sorvino, Frank Sivero, Cuck Low, Frank Vincent, and Frank DiLeo. 10 out of 10...Excellent, superb, and masterful! And remember (you'll get this joke when you see this great film) "Never rat on your friends, and always keep your mouth shut"

My favorite movie
One word: excellent. I'm a mob movie lover, and this is my all time #1. Kevin Costner is sensational as Eliot Ness. Sean Connery gives his best performance ever (he won an Oscar) as James Malone, the poor Irish beat cop who teaches Ness to beat the mob. Andy Garcia stars as George Stone, a sharpshooter rookie, in a milestone of his career. Charles Martin Smith is the unsuspecting role-Oscar Wallace-an accountant. I won't say any more than this-for you have yo see ths masterpiece yourself-great plot-great acting-great everything. 10 out of 10. Perfect!
