Not better than 105. Save your money.
This Ultegra cassette is much heavier than it should be. I bought it as an upgrade over 105 and it's not in terms of weight. The materials and finish seem better but if it's not lighter then why bother?

Great for Home Mechanic
Easy to use. Works well. Perfect for the home mechanic. Not quite high enough quality steel for a professional environment where it's used constantly. Good value.

Carbon is Real
6 of 7 found this helpful Many riders say steel has the best ride quality of all bicycle materials. And I've been among them. So I bought a Ritchey Road Logic frameset with one of those beautiful steel forks just to see if that thesis was right. And for a while I thought so. Knowing my fork was made out of steel was very re-assuring but there was something wrong. What most folks don't talk about is the effect on the ride quality of a road bike of a steel steerer. Maybe the fork has a great ride and knowing it's strong and fail safe is great, but this new carbon fork with it's aluminum steerer rides dramatically smoother, has less offset than the original Ritchey fork. Thereby stabilizes the whole experience by adding trail where it was sorely missing. And generally takes a little over a pound off the weight of the front end. What more could you ask for?
