Easy install
The only way to test this I guess is to wait and see if my props and other underwater metalwork dissolve !
Assuming this prevents this action then I am delighted with the unit.
The theory behind it is sound so i anticipate good things.
Ease of installation was key for me and frankly, if you are a novice to intermediate DIY'er, it is easy.

Not great
Unfortunately these took over a week to arrive. In fairness perhaps due to the postal service ? They apparently went via Royal Mail 48hour. So......?
Anyway, that aside, the problem with these is that due to the somewhat rounded ends that the photo doesn't show up particularly they are difficult to locate into a standard festoon type spring bulb holder as they rely on a pointed end on the bulb to hold.
I'm sure that somewhere along the design road someone must have tested them so maybe my experience is unusual although I have tried in three different light units with the same result.
Also, do not expect a huge amount of light from them.
I had to mark that they were not good value or quality due to the comments above, but in fairness they were inexpensive and they work. If you only need a dim light and can get them to fit OK then I would say they are good value and I guess quality is OK
