Very Predictable
I bought this audiobook because I was hoping it would be something like the author's other book, The Ruins. Unfortunately, it was not... I thought A Simple Plan was very slow & predictable. The person who read the book, Griffin Dunne, didn't help add any excitement or interest to the book, either. His voice was EXTREMELY monotone. By the end of the book I was hoping for some kind of twist, surprise, anything! But it never came. It was slow & predictable right up to the end. At least it was only about 3 hours long.

This CD is very POPULAR with me!
One of my guilty pleasures is playing this CD very loud in my car and singing along while I drive! The CD is fabulous - It truly takes you through the journey of Wicked. I loved the cast's voices...I saw Wicked - The Musical in January, and while the new cast sang/performed very well, they are not nearly as good as the original cast.

Wicked is a VERY good thing!
I absolutely love the Wizard of Oz, so when I heard about Wicked I was very skeptical...I mean, the Wicked Witch's point of view...Come on, everyone knows it's all about Dorothy, right?! Well, I was totally mistaken! Wicked is now, by far, my favorite book. I actually bought the audiobook about a year ago and my husband, brother, & I all listened to it and then I re-sold it on eBay. Fast forward a year when I went to see the musical show and was surprised by how different it was. I completely enjoyed Wicked - The Musical, but it made me realize that I enjoyed Gregory Maguire's original version even more. So, I bought another copy!! By the way, my brother & husband loved the audiobook as much as I did!! They even listened to Maguire's sequel - Son of a Witch. I would highly recommend this book to anyone! I think it rocks!
