ATried & true cookbook, easy to use
5 of 5 found this helpful This version of The All New GoodHousekeeping Cookbook (2001)is a very good cookbook. I bought it because we have an older version that we bought over 30 years ago and is literally falling apart from so much use.
I like this newer one because with each recipe, it lists the calories, carbohydrates, etc. per serving, and other nutritional facts. At the beginning of each recipe all of the ingredidients are listed and easy to read.
Pictures are worth 1,000 words and this book is full of them.
You'll find your different food categories easy to find, i.e., different meats, chicken, fish, salaads, desserts,, etc. It shows the different cuts and explains how to use them by size, temperature and time.
We have many cookbooks; Cooking Light (annual & other editions), Southern Living (a variety) Joy of Cooking, Martha Stewart, Betty Crocker and so many more but find Good HouseKeeeping to be our most used book.
