TOPEAK Joe Blow Turbo Floor Pump

Not as good as expected from the reviews

I bought this pump ostensibly to pump up car tyres but also for my bike. I was using a Topeak Joe Blow Sports model and from all reviews read, this made everything so easy. Firstly,I couldn't get it on the vavle. I usually pump up my tyres with the vavle sitting on the floor so the tyres don't move. To use this pump, the hole fits so exactly that you need to be lying on the floor so you can see to get it on. So tried with the valve on the side of the tyre. Much easier to get on and can see exactly where it is, but I find it very hard to pull across the yellow stopper. Usually needs 2 or 3 goes. I only find it marginally easier than the Sports to pump up the tyres. Next, tried it on the car tyres. The Sports was very easy, but required a lot of pumping to get tyres up to pressure. I was expecting great things with this pump. I have now tried 3 times and, easy to get the pump on the valve, but no matter what I do, it does not depress the vavle stopper to let air in. Therefore, total waste of money for me.

Versatile

I have used these for 5 years with rescued ducklings. They are great, as no wires, I can take them outside to put in the back of cages and the heat lasts a long time. Only the one size, but that's not a problem for me.
