Casebook Review
Make no mistake, this is a very typical law casebook. It is designed for the Socratic law school casebook teaching method and not the usual undergraduate lecture methodology. However, the late Rollin Perkins and his collegues did a very good job in addressing each individual area and using a current case to discuss the issues at hand. Students who are serious about Criminal Law would do well to buy a copy of this book to understand the reasoning behind legal concepts that many typical Criminal Law textbooks overlook. Serious Criminal Law teachers would do their students a service by using this as a textbook. But Perkins and company have set the standard in explaining and connecting the many complex legal concepts that cover criminal law. The book is not cheap, but considering brand new it costs the same as textbooks one-third it's size, it is a very good investment. If you are serious about *understanding* Criminal Law and Procedure from whatever perspective (lawyer, police officer, legal aid worker, etc.) you would do well to buy this book.

The best of Classic PBS British Drama!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is classic British drama, as seen on Masterpiece Theater in the late 1980s. May take some getting used too, since it's not in "HD" but if you can stay engaged, it's worth it.
