This printer is worth the cost. Lasts a long time and works well.
I have had this thing for almost 9 years and I always wanted to give a long term users perspective. I bought this for my Linux setup. I wanted a good laser printer. Lets start with the build. It looks cheap on the outside However, it uses real metal chassis (not plastic). It has real machine screws and if you really savvy with a screwdriver, its a reasonably easy printer to repair. Lets start with this printers biggest jammer. those paper pickup rollers. Usually cleaning them with dish soap/water on a paper towel gets them good and ready. The other rollers are on the back of the printer in the fuser assembly. Unforutunately these are a real beast to clean unless you take the plastic sides and back off. Which is fairly easy. Paper jams in the fuser assembly are rare but when they happen. Get ready to get dirty (Kudos to Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs). it can get messy because picking paper bits out carelessly can possibly damage those rollers. the two plastic ones are supported by springs that if one isn't careful can go flying. If you have to go that far. examine the fuser rollers too. Mine are getting old and starting to show fuser problems. The fuser parts can be bought on Ebay and they are easily installed as the fuser is screwed together, not welded like some brands. The two exit rollers are also on a fairly sturdy plastic shaft that can be cleaned either in situ or you can remove them easily to wash in soapy water. This printer unlike many newer Lexmark printers doesn't get too fussy when your toner runs low. it will continue to print until you have none. Its Printing speed isn't bad at 22 pages per minute. Compared to modern printers it lacks a Duplexer. But, from what I read, those things can be a problematic roller nightmare anyway. Its native Postscript 3 Emulation is very good. and if you stuff it with the maximum of 80mb of ram can take some big postscript documents without a burp! Unlike some, its Postscript mode is very fast and well done. But... Under Linux, I found that you have to send some postscript headers to get it to use raw postscript. It works fine with lprng under Linux/Unix if you append the header. Because it is a black and white printer. it has a low page cost. One toner cartridge and one drum unit instead of 4 of them for a color laser. Unlike the newer Lexmarks, it isn't as crabby about generic toners. However, when I used a generic drum, I found that I had to use the pjl codes to switch it to ligher density and enable economode to get a good page. Lastly, I have heard that the newer Lexmark E260d model incorrectly reports a jam when feeding single sheets. This is due to reminding a user to reset printer to paper tray mode. Thats to handle lots of print jobs via networking. This does not have this feature. Feed in envelopes. it sucks them in. prints them and automatically defaults back to the tray. Clearly not ideal for network work but for a single workstation or maybe one or two home computers being networked it isn't a problem. When feeding in different paper sizes. make sure your software sets the size of the paper. especially vital for envelopes as will not adjust print margins by the size of the guides! Quality of the output is a far cry from any other printer you can get at the original price I paid. It still is true today. While photo work is clearly not color, its grayscale rendering is not bad and for most people that won't be an issue. I like mine enough to keep it in good repair.

This is one of the best phones for the money!
I bought this phone on Ebay several months ago for a friend who wanted something that was "Old School." Being this phone is only 1900 it is only usable with T-mobile for the most part. But... If thats not an issue then you will love the way this phone works and responds. Its built Tough, like FORD tough! tha batteries slide on and off (like on a Camcorder) and they hold quite a charge. The controls are very simple to use. It has the ability to recieve SMS messages, Sorry, no Multimedia messages. Works wonderful with T-mobile ToGo and T-Mobile post-paid and T-mobile Flexpay. Uses the very common Nokia ACP 7U charger, easily found on ebay. However, it WILL NOT work with the Nokia ACP-12U charger. The Phone does well where my Nokia 6340i cannot get a good signal. Its only Black and white display isn't a problem for the main task the phone does, Making and recieving calls. The phone does not have a calendar applet, Nor can you do internet on it either, it does have an alarm clock and enough ringtons (approx 40) to satisfy almost anyone.) I liked the sucker enough to two of them.
