Buyer lies about packaging and listing. Item was in original box and that box was in a bigger box with bubble wrap. It could not have been packaged better. Buyer does not respond to any offers or return item for refund.

Cheap and good alternative to 1.4s.
A tremendous lens. You give up 60% of 1 stop of light fro what a 1.4 give you. That's really not much to complain about. The lens is excellent in all ways I have tested it. It focuses well, the Bokeh is nice, it's super sharp and the VR works reasonably well. These are a completely viable alternative to the pricey 1.4 offerings. I have no qualms about recommending it and I've owned a lot of nice 85 1.4 and even the Canon 85 1.2.

Fun little toy with intreagingly good sound
1 of 1 found this helpful You need a $20 110V to 220V and some better tubes to make this good. It absolutely sounds amazing and has all kinds of features once those items are added. I put some NOS tubes in it and hooked it up to a small passive sub and some 6.5" Parts-Express Dayton speakers. Very impressive detailed bass and a nice warm but detailed sound. I have much more expensive tube amps and speakers, this was just a toy to play with and give to my 18 year old son for his room. Assuming this is a hybrid Tube Pre and Type T amp but have not opened it up. Fun little amp for small sensative speakers. Will not drive my bigger speakers. Has two "Mic" inputs on the front. Very odd, but might make a great Karaoke amplifier.
