Bought as a Christmas Gift and the person was satisfied. This is BS to have to enter more info in order to satisfy Ebay wanting at least 100 characters. This should be enough to let you know it is a fine game, I guess!

Positive Review Ranger TR-966
I purchased this radio as I had heard some good comments on it, it had what I was looking for in a CB, and the price was right. The radio worked well as it came BUT I had the power level increased, echo installed, and a noise toy put in it. PLUS some extra channels. I used it as a base unit for a while then obtained an RCI-2950 for base and put the Ranger in the car. It seems to work well in the car almost as good as my Cobra 29 and Uniden that preceded it. The Uniden picked up too much noise and the Cobra had too much power for the car. I could talk way past where I could hear. All in all the Ranger is a good radio as it came from the factory and I would recommend it highly as a base unit.
