Bling-y beauty

I needed a gold-plated HS to match a weird paint scheme on a new frame, and GOLD was it. Sadly, Chris King doesn't make this anymore, but Cane Creek does.. Bearings seem smooth and the whole assembly seems well made; bushings etc. appear to be tight and seal well.. I have yet to see if it lasts as long as a CK. I'll know in about 10 years :^) N.K.

Fabulous brake rubbers!!

First time I used these it felt almost like my bike (with rim brakes) had disc brakes !! The compound is so grippy that it actually took a bit of getting used to.! Bought s few sets of these and will be using them in most of my bikes. I can't speak to wet weather performance, but I suspect they work. Nor durability because I have not used them long enough to see any appreciable wear. i have to think it's a softer rubber, so maybe they need to be changed more often. (I have so many bikes that is never going to be an issue..)..
