Memorex Digital Voice Recorder - MB2059D New!

Too Slow; Worse Than Earlier Models

I have owned several of these Memorex digital recorders. My last ones were the model MB2059B, which I loved. This latest one is the MB2059D. The material states that it has much more capacity, which I assume is true. However, using this model is much more annoying than the earlier model. When pressing a button to turn the recorder on and then to ready the recorder for recording or listening to recordings and then to make recordings, the wait time is excruciatingly long. That is, you press a button and there is a delay of several seconds before anything happens. When you want to make a recording, you press the RECORD button, but then need to wait a couple of seconds before the record light comes on the recording has actually started. With the previous model, the functions were available instantaneously. This the worst aspect of the new model. I also found myself annoyed during the process of listening to & deleting recordings. With the earlier model when you delete a message it then moves you to the next newer recording for listening. With the new model, after you listen to & delete a recording, it brings you back to the newest recording. So if you have a number of items recorded and you want to listen to & delete several recordings, you have to go back to where you were in the sequence every time you delete a recording. Very annoying and time consuming.
