Best item for a clean looking build
1 of 1 found this helpful If you are a computer builder and appreciate a clean looking computer, this item is essential. EVGA makes some of best GPUs on the market. This device makes it not only a powerhouse GPU, but allows you to run the cables in a clean way that does not make the eye just see these lumpy power cables on top of the card. Given the RGB items available now makes this even more important. Another great product from EVGA.

Intel HEDT 8-core Performer
4 of 4 found this helpful This is very nice CPU. It is a high-end processor for intensive tasks with 8 cores. It is also a good CPU for a multiple GPU gaming rig or for someone who needs fast single core or multi core functionality, such as video editing. Fast performance with many cores makes this one of the premier CPUs even though it is a few generations old. This means it maximizes it’s value over others available. Unless you really 10 or more cores, this is a great CPU.

A Workhorse
I had a bunch of things I neglected for the last few years that I had to spread. I had a never used shredder that I opened and started using. In a short period of time this until was not performing well. When I took the item apart, I noticed that much of the shedding components were plastic and a small plastic bracket broke. This made the unit perform poorly after just a few bins of shedding. I needed to find a better unit.
I did some research and found that Fellowes seemed to make a better unit. It also looked to me that this manufacturer made the best overall units across the board.
I purchased this particular unit. I have finished my project with no issues. This unit is a monster. The components that do the work are all metal. This was important to me. Clearly that was a good stance. This unit eats the paper very well, eats credit cards and optical disks equally as well. The safety features are also fantastic. If I touch the metal around the opening, the unit stops immediately. If I open the bin, same thing. The bin is okay, but you need to push down the shedding to allow it fill up. It can hold a good amount when you do that a few times. If the bin is too full, it also stops. I keep it oiled well and have seen this thing just chomp through whatever I throw at it.
Given my prior experience I am glad I did this. The first unit is now waiting to go the the electronics recycler when things open back up. I would highly recommend this unit for a home office or any residence that takes their privacy seriously. The shedding pieces are small enough (P-4) and the unit works fast enough that my project finished much more quickly than I thought was possible given my first experience. I am now in maintenance mode, so this unit will handle this easily. It nice to have this thing next to my desk to deal with work items, bills, medical documents (P-4 is a HIPPA certified size) and anything that you need to destroy to protect yourself. Much easier than getting the service to come with the truck, as this is only cost effective if you have a number of others involved.
This unit may cost more, but be reminded that you get what you pay for since I had to basically purchase two units to get the one that works for my needs.
